My entry for the contest of :iconlarissa-bright:.
Her character Rosalind ^^"

Well yeah... the picture turned out totally different from what I first intended to draw... actually... I drew a totally different character from my first idea xD
But in the end it was so much fun to draw Rosalind in art nouveau-ish style :3 I really enjoyed sketching and colouring it ^^ only inking and re-inking took horribly long xD

I fear Ros' hair became too red D: but in my memory she had red hair and I didn't check it again before colouring the picture D: I hope that's not too bad ._."

The art nouveau style was inspired by pictures of Antonella Castelli, an artist whom I really admire, and by *Larissa-Bright's pictures of Ros, like: [link]

Well... after a long time I finally coloured something again ^^" I kinda felt lost with a brush XD but I hope you like it nevertheless ^^"

Beeeeeaaauuutiful flowers was my first thought - you've always been excellent with flowers (possibly due to your landscape drawing) and they just shine out here. I particularly like the colour and size of those round her head. Also, they aren't complicated or over the top, which fits Ros, as she's never been at all ostentatious. I adore the idea of her in an art noveauish way - she does a lot of art herself and it might be like something she would draw, ro a style she would admire, too. This also put me in mind of a goddess though the grand attire and headdress of flowers and that's so sweet. Ros never thinks very much of herself or her looks which is why it's so nice to see her shining here. She should believe in herself more because she can be beautiful, as you've shown^^ As for the hair, it looks brown to me XD It's a reddish brown but I have no complaints about that and I'd never have thought it red if you hadn't said it. Colours always look different to different people anyway. :D

I love Art Nouveau style, and this picture is just perfect. I especially like the flowers - so much attention to details. Great colouring - how do you get your scanner not to eat colour?

:heart: thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it :aww: and the scanner ate many colours D: especially in the robes... I think my scanner likes pinkish-red colours the most so he tends to eat the shadings xD
